EPISODE TYPE LISTINGS:

As some may have noticed I have added a lot more information to the write ups for each macro character or animal. When it comes to cartoons there are basicaly a few general themes that are used either in the situation or in growth moments. In the means of giving even more information to you, in case you are looking for something in particular or were just curious  I have come up with some Episode Type classifications to place every episode into if possible. Some episodes will have more then one theme running through it and more then one will be listed if that is the case. If I run across something that doesn't fit an existing category Ill make a new one. (listed alphabeticaly)

12 Foot Exception -- This is the bottom of the barrel as far as being just big enough to make it onto the  page size wise. 12 feet tall probably wouldn't be considered very big to most people who come here. To me it's not so big either. Only about double the size of an average human. But as I have explained before, this is a better then nothing situation. This is pretty much when a small character gets a size adjustment but it isnt anything spectacular just enough to be macroish and cool though.  Sometimes there is size fluxuation where the character will be drawn bigger in some scenes and return to the 12 foot size in other moments to make things work. This too can make a 12 foot acception all the better.  These moments tend to be short lived and a final phase of sorts towards the end of a cartoon episode.  The common macro themes are not seen as much due to the 12 foot or so furry or animal not being big enough to do most of the macro elements but the size difference is enough to make it onto the page. Not every 12 foot creature will make it here though. Usualy some growth had to take place and an intersting situation has to be going on as well.

Age Progression -- In these situations, the creature, furry or animal is usually young or even in an infant like state. Could even be newly born or hatched.  By some means (could be many things like eating to much, magic , great power absorption) it instantly grows in size becoming it's adult version as it reaches it's new size rather then just a larger version of itself as it's younger aged self.  The adult form could be it's natural size as it would be if it naturaly aged to an  adult or it could have grown to this size in an adult state even though it wouldn't have been this big even if it did mature over time to this age it now has become. Either way it is no longer a child or infant as it became it's new giant form quickly  due to instant maturity by some means.

Blink Moment -- The moment goes by so fast that the macro is only on for a few seconds. No real growth took place that we know of and the moment ends as quickly as it started. Added to the page as it probably looks cool and should be noted but isn't much more then that. Good eye candy and good screen capture moment but not much else to go on. You can miss these moments in the blink of an eye. Well a long blink hopefully..

Devolving --  Said animal or furry is devolved either through some mysterious power  or device or science instantly and turns into a dinosaur of mass proportions or something from the Earth's prehistoric times that is usualy much larger then its previous state was. These type of episodes usualy involve a lizard of some sort being changed into a dinosaur. But other animals can and have been used in same type of situations. Most of the time the dinosaur like creatures will retain their usual looks with some dinosaur features mixed into the new form.

Dinosaurs -- This is a pretty general and limited category involving situations that have regular non changed into but normal occuring Dinosaurs. Situations involving Tyranosaurs Rex or Allosaurus or similiarly sized can fall under this. Any time in a movie or cartoon episode where someone brings a dinosaur from the past to cause trouble in a macro situation or returns a dinosaur to life some how to be large and in charge this would be what this category deals with. This is kinda common as Dinosaurs seems to make a good story idea to go with in cartoons when all else fails, and many movies have done a return of the Dinosaur age theme. This category doesn't involve devolving into dinosaurs though. Just basic everyday, born naturally as a Dinosaur that is the focus of the situation.

Dragons -- This category is for naturaly occuring already fully sized when they first appear dragons. Similar to the dinosaur category but focuses on dragons instead. Any time a dragon is the main macro creature and it is of a giant sized  is when this would be the category. Both cartoons and movies have lots of occurances with dragons being the main focus and if it doesn't fall in other other category and just shows up as a big dragon this is the themed of said situation.

Fantasy Situation -- Doesn't actualy take place in reality that the show takes place in so there is no logic to how they got to be huge or giant. This could be a dream sequence or the characters realizing they are just in a cartoon suddenly and can do as they want for no reason. Fantasy situations will usualy overlap with other categories but its hard to truly classify it just as one of the others as it should be noted that there is a twist to the situation going on. Fantasy situations can lead to interesting things but are usualy short lived as they are just meant for filler or to do something extreme and have a logical way for it to have happend using the rules that the particular series revolves around. Having a day dream that we the viewer are in on works well amongst many other Fantasy Situations.

Godzilla Situation -- A very common macro theme in both movies and cartoons. Probably the most used as far as movies go. Anything that spoofs a reptilian monster of sorts ravaging a city or the such would be a Godzilla situation.  Of course an episode can start as another situation and turn into this towards the end but there are some true Godzilla Situation episodes where no growth was caused and its some huge reptilian creature purely just to spoof Godzilla and nothing else.  Anything that spoofs any of the various Godzilla movies in any way with the huge monster rampaging through the city destroying all in its path and maybe breathing fire or the sort can fall in this. This may be used as an add on to other categories as well as an episode can start out one way but lead the path of a Godzilla Situation very quickly after.

Growth Ray (Formula) -- One of the most common situations. This is where some device or machine or gizmo or invention is used to make the animal or furry big. Nothing changes besides the size. Its basic and to the point. ZAP!! They are big.  A Growth Formula can also be used but has the same exact results. Some drink is either poured on or drank and the character gets bigger due to it. Any device, substance, power, potion, object that causes growth due to it's effects would fall under this. It doesn't have to be just a growth ray or potion but could be a growth (fill in the blank)  type of thing that made said character bigger with it's effects.

Inflation -- Growth caused by inflation and air. Said character either willingly or forced to increase in size through blowing into one self, sucking in air or being pumped up in size. These situations can get tricky as sometimes they will be solid and regular creatures after said use of size adjustment and it was just a fun way to get them big but other times they can truly be just filled with air giving all the drawbacks due to that fact.

King Kong Situation -- Very common in the movie macro moments but shows up a lot in the cartoon situations as well. It doesn't always have to be a monkey or Gorilla but most of the time it will be. This is pretty much an episode that mimics the King Kong movies. This category will usualy be an add on to another as usualy the situation before it became a King Kong Spoof was something differnet. But some episodes can be purely King Kong in situation where the ape is already big naturaly as it makes its debut in the episode. Pretty much this is any time you see a huge gorilla climbing a tall sky scrapper with a captive in hand while airplanes circle around trying to get at him or anything else that tries to play on or spoof things that are associated with the movie King Kong.

Magic -- All it takes sometimes is a simple zap of the ol magic wand to create a new creature of huge size. These are often differnet then just regular size increse situations as usualy the creature may be either magicaly formed out of something else or nothing for that matter or changed into something totaly differnet and the only reason we are to believe it worked was due to magic and nothing more.  Anything involving sorcery, wands or some weird incantation to cause a macro situation that would be where this category comes into play.

Mutataion -- Similar to devolving but the animal or furry doesn't change into a giant devloved or dinosaur version of themselves, but into a totaly differnet animal all together.  A lizard changing into a dragon for instance would be a mutation and not a devolution due to dragons being mystical creatures and not devolved lizards. A cat being zapped and suddenly changed into some giant mutant creature would also be what this category classifies. Not used as often as some of the others but makes for interesting situations and also makes for some things I coudln't even tell you as to what they are supposed to be but they are big and thats what matters here.

Mythology -- Deals with a mythological or Deity type of creature or animal. Can either have been created by such beings or servents related to Mythology or can be naturaly that size already and are creatures that fall under this category. Greek, Norse, Roman, Native American amongst others all have their own creatures of great size that often show up in cartoons and/or movies or tv shows. The whole situations focus around such a thing and isn't your typical macro situation that is normaly dealt with as a higher power is involved in the situation for the most part.

Over Eating -- Eating something in over abundance causes the character to grow bigger in size, the more he/she eats the bigger they get. For this page growing wide without height is not a macro classification. This is when height as well as weight were added  due to the over eating. This can get tricky as a lot of episodes will use appetite and eating after the growth occured but that is affer afects and not really an eating related growth. Thats just a bonus I suppose for those who like that idea for what caused the  growth. When the main trigger was eating and the situation revolves around more eating after they have become giant sized, that is when this category is in effect.

Recombination -- Not often used in movies but was sometimes used in cartoons in the 80's. This is when some animal or furry is split into many small and tiny versions of itself that cause havoic or continue to reproduce more and more mini clones of themselves throughout the episode. Towards the end of the episode the said creatures will be recombined some how, only to wind up being huge in size due to all the little versions of themself coming into one form again.

Transformation -- Usually involves a human transforming into another animal or beast all together. Werewolves and the similar are perfect examples of a metamorphosis from human to beastial form.  These don't always have to involve humans though. An animal or furry being changed into something else all together from what they are besides just getting bigger would also go under this classification unless it more closely fit one of the other subjects. If the transformation was naturally occurring and doesn't fit in the magic or mutation classifications then it would be a pure transformation type of situation.
